Warm weather in the week ahead for Central Ohio. Great time to get out and run on our great running trails before it’s too late! Here are some upcoming races for the week.
Saturday, December 13
- This race in Reynoldsburg, OH supports the charity Nelly’s Catwalk for Kids. Holiday costumes encouraged!
Sunday, December 14
- This is a 5k run/walk but it is not apparent if proceeds go to charity for this race.
Holiday Run (sold out)
- How are some of the most fun sounding races sold out already?! Oh, by capping entry to 300 runners! This one is through Sharon Woods and is a Four Mile race around the park. One of my favorite (and least favorite) places to train in Central Ohio!
Santa Hustle Half Marathon and 5k
- This one is outside of the Central Ohio region, but sounds like a lot of fun! The half marathon course takes runners all through the Amusement Park. Makes the 13.1 sound enjoyable!

Grandview Running Club (Next run is: December 9 6:45pm: Woodlands Tavern)
Meets (most) Tuesday evenings at 6:45. Runs begin at 7:00. Locations vary to Grandview bars.
Columbus Road Runners Club (Next run is: December 10 6:30pm: Whetstone Recreation Center)
Meets Wednesday evenings at 6:30 at the Whetstone Recreation Center.
Short North Running Club (Next run is: December 11 6:45pm: Betty’s Bar)
Meets Thursday evenings at 6:45. Runs begin at 7:00. Locations vary to Short North (and Brewery District) bars.

I am finally planning on joining a MeetUp this week, I hope to be at the CRRC meetup at Whetstone. I will only have time for a short 2-3 miles, but need to start getting back in to the habit of post-work running on Wednesday evenings. Marathon training begins 12/22!
